He's also getting contact from Florida State, Florida, Tennessee, Nebraska, and Kansas State.
"The West Virginia head coach, Rich Rodriguez, has made the biggest impression on me in phone calls. He and his assistant coaches call frequently," Bamfield said.
He has no official visits set, but he plans to attend West Virginia for their November 27th game against Pittsburgh.
He will make his decision sometime between now and February 7th.
"Distance will not be a factor at all", Harmon said. "I will mainly be looking at location in regards to the surrounding area, academic curriculum and the relationship between the coach and his players."
He has no favorite at this time, but if he would like to visit the following schools, besides West Virginia.
Florida — "It is the tradition of being a winning football team. They have good academic reputation and a good location."
Florida State — "I've been a fan since I was little. They are a regular contender for the national championship, and coach Bobby Bowden is a great coach. They are also good academically."
Tennessee — "The location, and I have a friend who attends there who says the campus is great. The academic standards are high, and they send a lot of players to the NFL."
Arkansas — "They are recruiting me mainly as a receiver, and that's what I mainly want to play. Also, my parents could attend the games, and they would like to attend at least a couple, wherever I play."
Syracuse — "They are rebuilding, so I could be a stand-out there, and they send some very good receivers to the NFL."
When asked his strong points, Bamfield said, "a nose for the ball and good coverage as a corner."
"As a receiver I have the ability to get open when necessary," he said.
He describes himself as - "A complete player package deal on the field.''
He compares his style of play as a receiver to Randy Moss of the Minnesota Vikings.
When asked who his toughest opposing player was he said, "as a sophomore, BJ Johnson, who's now at Texas, left quite an impression on me."
