Texas ATH to wait on dream school

Sugar Land (Texas) Austin athlete/dual-threat quarterback Michael Jones doesn’t mind waiting – especially when it comes to his dream school.
“I have always dreamed about playing for the Texas Longhorns,” Jones, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound two star prospect, said. “I talked to one of their coaches last week and they told me that if a few other guys go a different direction then they would likely offer me. If they offered me, that’s what I would like to go.”

But at this point, Jones know that the possibility of that offer coming isn’t that high and with plenty of other offers to think about he’s keeping his options wide open.
“I’m not going to set up any official visits until my season is over,” he said. “I really don’t have much of a top team list. If I had to list some teams behind Texas it would be Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Michigan State, Arizona State, Wisconsin, Arkansas and Missouri.”
All of those teams call him every week. He has scholarship offers from Houston, Iowa State, Missouri, Oklahoma State and Utah.
Jones said Austin needs to win its last two games and have another team lose for his team to qualify for the state playoffs. Two week ago, Jones passed for 215 yards and two scores and had an additional 149 yards on the ground.
