Texas ATH re-works visit schedule

Houston (Texas) Spring Wood athlete Catron Houston has shuffled his visit schedule once again, dropping one school and adding two more to the calendar.

"I have two visits scheduled for January," the 6-foot, 185-pound Houston said. "I am going to visit TCU the weekend of Jan. 14 and Tulane the weekend of Jan. 21. Those will be my last visits I take before making a decision."

Houston had previously scheduled a Jan. 14 trip to College Station to see Dennis Franchione's Texas A&M program.

"Texas A&M told me they got a junior college wide receiver so they cancelled my visit," he said. "I thought that might be a good fit, but with a junior college guy there, it doesn't make any sense for either one of us."

Three other schools already visited by Houston, Texas Tech, Arizona State and Arkansas are still under consideration.

"I enjoyed those visits, and I am still looking at those schools. I was also looking at Kansas State at one time, but I'm no longer interested in them. It was too far away from home and I didn't have any family around there that could watch me play. All of the others, I do, so that wouldn't be a problem."
