"I just committed to Rob Ianello at Arizona about 30 minutes ago," Steptoe, a three-star athlete that is 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, said.
"I visited out there this weekend and I l really liked it. So I went ahead and decided to commit in the in-home visit.
"Coach (John) Mackovic is a really great guy, too. I think I could like playing for him."
Steptoe, however, said he plans on taking two other visits.
"I'm a soft commitment," he said. "I'm going to visit Arkansas on January 17 and then A&M the weekend after that."
