Texas ATH picks Owls

Plano (Texas) Prestonwood coach Mike Hall says when his quarterback made his college decision early, a vast amount of possibilities appeared at what position he would play.
Though the 6-foot-1, 210-pound Wil Norris has done a solid job at quarterback for them, he'll get a look not only there but at an H-back role with the team he selected last month. Hall says it was a perfect fit.

"He's headed to Rice," Hall said about his quarterback Norris. "They actually made the decision about a month ago, but with coach Todd Graham being there now and being new, they wanted to make sure everything was taken care of with admission before going public."
Hall says Norris' selection for the Owls had a lot to do with the comfort level and the new coaching staff.
"He loves the coaches there and my offensive coordinator worked with some of those guys when he was at Allen High School," Hall said. "More than anything that's really what it was. They're going to give him a chance at quarterback, but they were also really recruiting him as an H-back.
"I think Wil will have an exceptional year at QB for us this year but his primary threat is definitely his legs."
SMU, Baylor, Wake Forest, and Duke were also showing interest in Norris.
