Texas ATH likes two in-state schools

Waller, Texas, two-star dual-threat athlete Jeremy Phillips took an unofficial visit recently to North Texas and came away really impressed with what the Mean Green have to offer.
"I went and looked at North Texas last week," he said. "I just recently got offered by them. It went good. I like it up there. They just built some new facilities and it was really nice. Coach Todd Dodge was there, but they were doing a coaching convention and giving a lecture so I didn't get to meet him."

After the visit, Phillips said it's become clear that two teams standout for him.
"Well it's between Rice and North Texas now, but I really like North Texas," Phillips said. "North Texas is good because its farther away, but not too far. Too far from home to me is out of Texas. I'll probably make my decision here in the next month or so."
But he's still not ready to pull the trigger quite yet.
"I don't know, because it's still really close between those two," he said. "But I'd have to say North Texas leads. I really liked it up there. North Texas is recruiting me as a safety. Rice is just recruiting me as an athlete. I couldn't care less what position I play, as long as I get to play. It's just wherever they want me."
Phillips also has offers from Duke and Army. He is 6-foot-3 and 184 pounds.
