Texas ATH hopes for early choice

Grapevine, Texas athlete Henry Melton is one of the state’s top athletes and the offers will continue to come in as the spring evaluation process continues.
“Texas A&M, Texas and Oklahoma have all offered me,” the 6-foot-3, 230-pound Melton said. “I know Texas A&M has offered me as a running back. The other two have offered me just as an athlete and wherever I fit in best. I can play several spots and I guess I would be open to just about anywhere, as long as it got me on the field.”

Melton is receiving interest from Arkansas, Kansas State and Texas Tech.
“I get quite a bit of mail all the time,” he said. “I read most of the mail I get. There are several letters that come all the time.”
Melton does plan on taking in a few camps this summer, but is not sure which ones.
“I don’t know where I will go,” he said. “I haven’t really decided that yet. I’m still looking at what will fit into my schedule and what won’t.”
The Rivals100 member does have a time frame in mind for making a decision.
“I would like to get it out of the way,” he said. “Hopefully during the summer sometime, but I want to make sure I am making the right decision. If I don’t think it is the right choice, I will wait.”
