Texas ATH has open calendar

Plano (Texas) East athlete Champ Davis took a visit two weeks ago, and that is all he has on the calendar at this point.

"I went to Iowa on the 22nd," the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Davis said. "I had a good time. Everything was nice. All of the coaches were great. The facilities were very good. I'm not ready to go anywhere yet."
Davis, as a matter of fact, isn't sure where he'll go next on an official visit.
"I was kind of planning on going to Kansas State this next weekend (Dec. 6), but that wasn't ever really set. I'm still trying to work out a date with them. It has been a while since I've talked to them. I'd guess we're looking more like January for a trip there. Georgia Tech is also another school I'm looking at. Problem with them is, I'm not sure how interested they are in me."
Davis' squad finished a disappointing 5-5 this year.
"I was out for a while with turf toe," Rivals.com's No. 51 athlete said. "Then it was a knee injury. We had a new coach this year too. So it kind of turned into a rebuilding year for us this year."
Davis expects the Iowa coaches to come calling on his home in the near future, but they are the only ones.
"Iowa has told me they'll come by before Christmas most likely. They're the only school to talk about an in-home visit."
