Texas ATH getting looks

La Marque, Texas athlete Jairus Kerlegan is hearing from several schools in and outside the Lone Star State as he waits for his first scholarship offer to arrive.
Kerlegan, who's playing quarterback at the high school level, says that several schools like him at other positions as well including receiver and cornerback. Some of the schools showing interest at this point include Fresno State, Houston, Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, and UTEP.

"I'd say Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, Fresno State, and UTEP," Kerlegan said about which schools are showing more attention than others. Fresno State mentioned something about an offer and so did Louisiana Tech. They said they'd like me at cornerback."
The 6-foot, 170-pounder says he doesn't have a favorite school at this point. He'll attend several team-camps this summer including possible stops at Louisiana Tech, Fresno State, UTEP, and others. He'll also be attending a camp with his teammates in Alabama.
Kerlegan says that he's open to options concerning both a college choice and a position.
"I can play quarterback, cornerback, or safety," he said. "I just want to do whatever benefits my team."
