Texas ATH adds offers, sets visits

Forney (Texas) North Forney athlete Stephen Buckley put together a big senior season from his quarterback spot, winning district Offensive MVP honors after throwing for 923 yards and rushing for another 1,352. He also helped the Falcons to the second round of the playoffs in only the school's second year of varsity play.
His senior year caused colleges to take notice of the 6-foot, 178-pound senior. Buckley previously held offers from Air Force, Louisiana-Monroe, Navy and North Texas but added another trio this week.

"I have received new offers from Kansas State, Northwestern and Washington State," Buckley said. "They all actually offered me on Monday.
"Northwestern and Washington State, they had been talking to my coaches. Then they started talking to me on Monday and that's when they offered. Kansas State, I've been talking to them since the beginning of the season."
The versatile Dallas-area standout says each school seems to be recruiting him for a different position.
"Washington State offered me at cornerback, Northwestern offered me as an athlete on offense and Kansas State offered me to play safety," he said. "It really doesn't matter to me where I play though."
With all the newfound interest Buckley has already set up a pair of official visits.
"I'm visiting Washington State this weekend," he said. "Next weekend I'll be visiting Northwestern. I don't think I'm going to be able to go to Kansas State."
It should be no surprise that the two schools he plans to visit are atop his leaderboard at the moment.
"Washington State and Northwestern," Buckley said as to his favorites. "I like Northwestern because it's a good school. It's one of the top-ranked schools in the country. I like Washington State because it has one of the best campuses and facilities in the country."
