Texas A&M is scorching hot on the recruiting trail once again, but this time it's in the 2023 class.

One day after landing four-star cornerback Bravion Rogers, the Aggies have added another big piece to the secondary in South Oak Cliff (Texas) four-star cornerback Jayvon Thomas.

Thomas, who has visited College Station multiple times this calendar year, becomes the sixth commit for Texas A&M in the 2023 class and the second-highest rated prospect in the class for the Aggies.

Originally from Corsicana (Texas), Thomas blew up on the recruiting scene after a big sophomore season that saw him catch the attention of programs across the country. Shortly thereafter, Thomas made the move to South Oak Cliff where he was able to star in the secondary for the Golden Bears alongside Malik Muhammad and TCU signee Kyron Chambers. The trio helped power South Oak Cliff to Dallas ISD's first state championship since 1958.

The offseason opened up with multiple visits to regional contenders including the Aggies, Texas and TCU among others, but it became clear early in the spring that Jimbo Fisher and cornerbacks coach TJ Rushing had made the biggest impression on Thomas and his family.

Thomas' addition to the 2023 class further cements that the Aggies will have one of the top secondary classes in the entire country in this cycle. With commitments from Thomas and Rogers in addition to great standing with Javien Toviano and Tony Mitchell, the Aggies could be right back at the top of the recruiting rankings once again in 2023.

This serves as Texas A&M's third commitment this week following a pledge from specialist Tyler White on Monday and Bravion Rogers on Tuesday.

At 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, Thomas is the No. 142 ranked recruit in the country, according to Rivals. He is the No. 23 ranked cornerback in the country and the No. 26 recruit from the state of Texas.
