Vickiel Vaughn, who is the four star rated 6-foot-1, 187 pound safety from Plano (Texas) West in is making his mark this season on the field and he has narrowed his list to the final five.
He has 67 tackles, six interceptions as a defensive back and 25 receptions for 428 yards and five offensive touchdowns for the season.
"I could have done better as a player, and I would have liked to make the playoffs," Vaughn said.

He has eliminated Alabama from his list. His top five now contains West Virginia, Arkansas, UCLA, Michigan State and Oklahoma.
Vaughn has already visited West Virginia and Michigan State back on Nov. 2. His remaining visits have been set with Notre Dame for Dec. 7, Oklahoma for Dec. 14 and Arkansas for Jan. 18. He will sit down and make his decision the week following the Arkansas visit.
"I look at the effort they put into recruiting me and the general things that make me more interested," he said.
