Texan ready for Big Ten career

Sugarland (Texas) Kempner wide receiver Elijah Theus Jr. committed to Wisconsin during the football season and has never wavered on his college choice.
"I committed to Wisconsin on my official visit there Oct. 22," Theus said. "That was the only official visit I took.

"It was my first time at Wisconsin, but I felt like I fit right in. The school situation is like my school situation.
"They have a great football program. I watched them during the season. I watched how they progressed.
"Their football program and ours have the same type of situation. Me going into that situation gives me an advantage.
"We haven't talked about redshirting. Basically whatever they want me to do is fine. I'm going up there to make them better. Whatever they want is O.K.
"I talk to the assistant coaches two or three days a week. I talk to coach Horton and coach Mason since coach Ianello went to Notre Dame."
The 6-foot-2 and 185 pound Theus, a three star prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings, caught 41 passes and scored five times during his senior season.
