Texan heading to the MAC

Kyle Hoke of Sugar Land (Texas) Clements took an official visit to Ball State, the school where his uncle Brady Hoke coaches at, this past weekend. And after some serious consideration of other schools like Houston, he's made up his mind.
"I just got back on Sunday from my official visit, and I committed when I was there," Hoke, who is the son of Houston Texan defensive back coach Jon Hoke, said. "I was pretty sure I was going to commit when I went up there. I was pretty high on them already and they really impressed me with the visit and all that."

"This was my first official visit but that will probably be it. I want to go there so there's really no point in visiting anywhere else. They're recruiting me as a safety."
Hoke, who is 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, said he was considering UofH before the coaching change happened down there, but he said in the end he felt best with Ball State. Hoke earned first-team all-district honors in 2007 as a defensive back and in 2006 as a linebacker.
