Tyler (Texas) Lee tight end Jonathan Palmer was one of more highly recruited players in East Texas. But he's taking his game South.

"I committed to Southern Miss," Palmer, who is 6-foot-4 and 250 pounds, said.
"It was the perfect place for me and the right place for me. They play my style of football."
Palmer picked Southern Miss over Oklahoma State (offer), Baylor, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
