Terry schedules officials

Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff Rivals250 linebacker Marvin Terry is narrowing his list, planning to make his decison, and figuring out where he will take his official visits.

THE LATEST: Terry has official visits scheduled for Miami (Sept. 18) and Oklahoma (Oct. 2), and he also said he has an official scheduled to TCU. Right now, he plans to take all five of his official visits. Oklahoma and Texas Tech have been showing the most interest right now with Missouri also coming on strong. He does not have a date in mind, but it does look like he will make a decision before the season. He would not name his leader, but he did admit he has one.

ANALYST TAKE: Terry would not name his leader, but he admits he definitely has one right now. The odds on favorite throughout the process has been Oklahoma. Terry has kept a close eye on Norman from the beginning of the process until now, and they are a childhood favorite. The Sooners also have former teammate and friend Prentice McKinney in his ear. Also keep an eye on Texas Tech. There are several ties between the two programs with former South Oak Cliff head coach Emmett Jones now on the Red Raiders staff and former SOC defensive back Jamile Johnson a freshman.
