Terrapins pick up local RB

Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park running back Taylor Watson fulfilled his lifelong dream. The 6-foot-2, 225-pounder committed to Maryland recently after receiving an offer from the team.
"He basically always wanted to go to Maryland because he likes the way they do things there," his head coach Danny Hayes said. "He visited a couple other schools, but always hangs around Maryland and continues to hear great things from players he does stuff with including Adrian Moten, Quinton McCree and others. To me Taylor has always looked like a Terp."

What in particular stood out to the running back prospect?
"I know he really likes Ralph Friedgen and his recruiter, coach Bossard," he said. "Both of those coaches have been very straight forward with him and I think in the end it was an easy choice because he likes the way they do things there."
Hayes went on to discuss what kind of player the Terrapins were getting.
"They are getting a very serious player that is hardworking in the weight room and on the practice field," he said. "He does not complain and is a team player. Plus he is a very strong-minded individual that knows what he has to work for and strives to get better."
