Terps play trump card with Foster

Boiling Springs, S.C., three-star receiver Brooks Foster expected big things when he visited Maryland this weekend, but he didn’t know if he would like it as much as he did.
“They kind of played a trump card with me,” Foster said.

“They gave me a chance to talk to the basketball coach, Gary Williams, and we talked for a while about maybe allowing me to come out and play both football and basketball. I was shocked by that.”
Shocked enough to commit on the spot?
“That has been going through my mind,” Foster said. “I really enjoyed every aspect of my visit to Maryland. The coaches are great, the city is great and the setting made me feel really at home.”
Foster, then backpedaled a little bit and said that he doesn’t have a true No. 1 on his list.
“I think you have to put Maryland right up there with Kentucky,” Foster said. “I still have a lot of trips to take. I’m going to North Carolina on January 9 and then Clemson on January 16.”
Duke, South Carolina and Wake Forest are in contention for the final official visit.
