Terps performance impresses Logan-El

The No. 25 player in the country, Forestville, Md. offensive guard Antonio Logan-El took in an unofficial visit to College Park to witness the Thursday night game between the Hokies and Terps. What was the 6-foot-4, 307-pounder's thoughts on the game?
"It was a really good game and I liked how Maryland fought really hard. They had a couple goal line stands and overall it was just a good experience for me," he said. "In the game, I was really impressed with true freshman Jared Gaither. He looks big on TV, but when you're right there he's huge and to play next to him would be great. I'm just thinking when he's a junior or senior he's going to be scary. I also really liked the fans. It was a good scene and they were screaming and yelling for me to come to Maryland and forget about Penn State. I've got to say that the fans can be very influential and they've got some good ones there."

After the game, the five-star prospect talked to the coaches.
"I stayed around for about an hour after the game and talked with coach Brattan, Brossard and Friedgen," he said. "I just talked to them about the game and my stance with Maryland and recruiting. I really enjoyed talking to coach Brattan as he talked about how their kids are young and it's a great opportunity for me to come into Maryland as they should be pretty good in a couple years."
Logan-El hasn't scheduled any of his four remaining official visits, but plans to after the high school football season.
Last week Forestville played a very tough game against Eleanor Roosevelt.
"We lost 28-0, but our team played with so much heart and we fought our hardest," he said. "They came in 6-1 and were used to putting up 50 or 60 on people, and we were only down 14-0 at halftime. Considering we only have 24 players and they had 55, it was just a matter of time until we started to wear down. I know our team got a lot of respect from Eleanor Roosevelt and I think we're going to do some damage in the playoffs."
