Hampton (Va.) Phoebus cornerback Phillip Brown shcoked everyone last week by naming the Virginia Cavaliers as his leader. How did his visit to Maryland this past weekend affect things?
"It was a great visit, I was really surprised at how much fun I had and how well I got along with the players," said the 5-foot-11, 185-pounder, ranked as the No. 1 player in the state of Virginia. "The overall atmosphere was great there."
Next up for Brown is Clemson (this weekend -- Jan. 10) and then Virginia (Jan. 17). He has a test weekend after that (Jan. 24) and is considering a visit to Virginia Tech, possibly for Jan. 31.
"I'm still interested in Tech, but now Maryland and Virginia are my leaders," he said. "Maryland was a great visit so now the others will have to match that. I can't really say UVA has the edge anymore."
