Terps get top cornerback target

The Maryland Terrapins have landed one of their top defensive back targets.
"Jamari committed to Maryland yesterday," said Tyehimba McCollough, the father of Randallstown, Md. cornerback Jamari McCollough. "He just felt very comfortable with them and decided not to wait."

McCollough chose Maryland over offers from Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Virginia Tech and others.
"He originally wanted to take his official visits," said his father. "He was going to take all five of them, but decided against it. Maryland was always his favorite school."
This could be good news for the Terps when it comes to recruiting McCollough's teammate as well. Melvin Alaeze is the No. 18 player in the country and the top defensive end overall and has stated that he and McCollough might want to attend the same school.
McCollough is ranked as the No. 19 cornerback in the country and the No. 6 player in the state of Maryland. His commitment gives Maryland commitments from four of the top six players in state.
