Terps continue DeMatha connection

The Maryland Terrapins continue their tradition of getting commitments from Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic players with their latest verbal.
"Edwin committed to Maryland," said DeMatha head coach Bill McGregor of offensive guard/center Edwin Williams. "It was his first and best offer and he really decided he didn't want to go anywhere else. He did well at their camp and really liked how he fit there."
Williams, a 6-foot-4, 270-pounder, will likely play center at Maryland.
"He's smart and can make all the line calls," said McGregor. "He's also improving quite a bit each game and is a hard worker."
Williams has interest from Ohio State, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech and others. He is ranked No. 19 on the Maryland/D.C. Top 25 list.
