One of the South's rising tight end prospects has
added another impressive scholarship offer.

Memphis (Tenn.) Evangelical Christian standout
Brad Cottam picked up an offer from Tennessee late last week.
"I was real excited about it," said Cottam, a member of the Rivals.com
Tennessee
Top 15 team and the No. 40 ranked tight end in the nation.
"Tennessee's a big-time program with all kinds of tradition, so it's an
honor to have a scholarship offer from them. I've put them at the top of my
list with Ole Miss."
Cottam (6-8, 240, 4.65) also has an offer from a
third SEC team in Vanderbilt.
"Things have really picked up of late," he said.
"I've been getting a lot more calls. Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vandy, Memphis and
Louisville are all calling as much as they can."
Asked to compare and contrast his leaders, the Vols
and Rebels, Cottam said: "Well, I really like the coaches at both schools.
That's a plus for both of them. It would be hard to choose based on that.
Tennessee has the great winning tradition and the big crowds at the stadium.
I got to see my first games there this season (vs. Florida and Arkansas). It
was so big, just unbelievable. But then again, I really like the atmosphere
at Ole Miss. It's a little smaller, but unique. Also, Ole Miss is only about
an hour away from home. That's an advantage for them."
Cottam noted he won't likely make a decision until
he takes his official visits. He'll be in Oxford on Jan. 10 and is in the
process of setting up his official to Knoxville.
"I may take some others, but those two are way out
in front right now," he said.
