THE LATEST: It has been a big month for 2018 running back Christian Turner. The 5-foot-10, 190 pound junior out of Buford, Ga. has added over half a dozen scholarship offers just in the last two weeks.

Georgia State, Iowa State, Minnesota, Missouri, Tennessee and Tulane are some of his new offers. Schools like Louisville, Miami, North Carolina State, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin had already offered the three star.

Turner has emerged as one of the top running backs in the Peach State and he is a back with good balance, nice vision and he has hands out of the backfield.

He took his first visit to Knoxville, Tenn. over the weekend and the Volunteers have taken the early lead.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: "The visit was up to expectations," said Turner. "It was a beautiful campus and facilities as I've heard from everyone were great. The energy the coaches brought when they talked about the future of the program and the accomplishments they have already had stood out to me.

"I have been a fan of Tennessee's for a while now. Me and running back coach [Robert] Gillespie have a good connection and I plan to be back up there."

RIVALS REACTION: Turner does not plan to commit any time soon, but he is not ruling out a decision later this spring. He said he could just wake up and feel he is ready, then commit to someone. He is looking for a strong connection with coaches and a school that can set him up for the future. Georgia, Ohio State and Penn State are three schools that are showing a lot of interest that have yet to offer. Tennessee has a commanding lead at this time.
