Conyers (Ga.) Heritage athlete/running back Brian Berry has seen his interest come from two schools located in the Volunteer State.
According to his mother Sheena, the 5-foot-9, 177-pounder, is being heavily pursued by Tennessee State and will take an official visit to Nashville to check out the Tigers program in a couple of weeks.
Sheena Berry added that one of Brian's high school coaches has been fielding calls from Middle Tennessee State on behalf of the speedy prospect.
Even if the Blue Raiders step up their pursuit of Berry, TSU could be tough to beat. Brian's father played football for the Tigers.
Brian Berry ran the 40-yard dash in 4.57 seconds at the Athens NIKE camp in May at the University of Georgia. After primarily playing running back his junior season, he has shown his versatility this year, playing some wide receiver. In a 28-18 victory against Athens Cedar Shoals on Sept. 23, Berry caught an 87-yard touchdown pass.
Berry is a teammate of Georgia top 75 prospect Bo Harris. His team currently is 5-4 and has won five of its last six games.
