Tennessee QB high on the Tribe

Brentwood (Tenn.) Ravenwood High quarterback T.C. Jennings could be the prospect to fill the void created in Arkansas State's 2006 class after Daniel Stegall de-committed and committed to Miami (Fla.).
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Jennings has the Indians as his clear leader.

"I am most likely committing to Arkansas State," he said. "They have a chance to play for the Sun Belt Conference championship and be in bowl games year after year."
The Tribe won the conference title and played in the New Orleans Bowl, held in Lafayette, La., this year because of the damage caused to the Big Easy by Hurricane Katrina.
Jennings visited Jonesboro on Labor Day weekend and liked what he saw.
"I liked it a lot," Jennings said. "They do a lot of great things there. I liked that they are building brand new dorms. They also have a good business program and that's what I am looking for."
Jennings is being recruited by ASU recruiting coordinator and running backs coach Tony Gilbert.
"He is excited about me coming to school there," Jennings said. "He also said I had a chance to play right away."
Jennings led Ravenwood to the Class 5A championship this season. He threw for 2,203 yards and 25 touchdowns. Arkansas State is his only Division I-A scholarship offer. He holds Division I-AA offers from Austin Peay and Tennessee-Martin.
