The Volunteers are rolling on the recruiting trail, especially as the team's 2026 recruiting haul begins to take shape.

After landing a commitment from elite 2026 QB Faizon Brandon over the weekend, Tennessee scooped up a commitment from Rivals250 tight end Carson Sneed on Monday. That's a pair of blue-chip commitments in a 72-hour stretch for Josh Heuepel and co.

Sneed was back in Rocky Top over the final weekend of July.

"I've visited Tennessee countless times and every time I leave I have that feeling that I want to be there for the next three of four years of my college career," Sneed told Rivals of his commitment to the Vols.

"Rocky Top just feels like home," he asserted. "That’s where my heart is."

Heuepel and TE coach Alec Abeln have made steady impressions on the 6-foot-6, 240-pounder from Nashville (Tenn.) Donelson Christian. Sneed has been to Knoxville on several occasions over the past few years.

The Vols have been surging with Sneed over the course of the summer.

"Coach Heup and Coach Abeln have been great to me," he started. "The film room last Saturday and coaches' plans for me is something that sounds amazing to me and fits my style."

"Tennessee has been hot on me for quite some time now, so it wasn’t very hard narrowing my schools down. Deciding was hard," Sneed added. "Coach Abeln is the best tight ends coach in America and will develop me the best way possible."

Sneed made the call for the Vols over Auburn, Ohio State, Michigan and others.

Sneed's older brother, Dayton Sneed, plays for Tennessee. The coaches extended the family feeling even further this summer.

"Everything about Tennessee screams my name," Sneed said. "It's a family-like feeling and a group of people that want to win now, and that’s all I’m about. I’m going to do everything in my power to bring a national championship back to campus with my future teammates, and I believe we can make it happen."
