Tennessee latest to offer LB

Richmond (Va.) Heritage linebacker Andrew Bowman is excited about his latest offer.
"Tennessee sent me a letter saying that they were offering me," said the 6-foot-1, 220-pounder. "I'm really interested in them because that's big-time football."

Bowman also has offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Purdue and North Carolina. Does he have a favorite?
"Nope, not at this time," he said. "People always ask me if the in-state schools have the edge, but that doesn't matter to me. I want to go where I fit best and where I can get the most exposure."
Bowman's teammates from last year, tight end Duane Brown and wideout Fontel Mines, signed with Virginia Tech and Virginia respectively. Have they been working on the hard-hitting linebacker?
"A little bit," he laughed. "They each talk about the school they picked, but they don't really advise me. The only advice they've given me is to wait until the time feels right before I commit."
Bowman doesn't have any unofficial trips scheduled this summer and he'll take at least three or four official visits before he decides.
"I have to see the schools and meet the people."
As a junior, Bowman had 100 tackles (10 for a loss) and five sacks.
