Tennessee, Kentucky first two offers for 2020 Florida RB

The Latest: After a standout sophomore season, Class of 2020 running back Brandon Benjamin was hoping some schools would take notice of his talents. As it turned out, he didn't have to wait long for a pair of SEC schools to kick off his recruitment. Earlier this year, Benjamin picked up an offer from Kentucky and during the spring he also added one from Tennessee earlier in the year. He's hoping the two SEC programs are the just the start and said he will be hitting the road for some visits before the summer is out. Rivals.com caught up with Benjamin at the Ray Lewis Academy to talk about the latest in his recruitment.

Tennessee: "I plan on visiting them soon, too. That was a big first offer for me to have. I know they have produced a lot of running backs at that school, guys like Alvin Kamara, and I feel like if I choose that school I could be the next big running back they have."

Kentucky: "Kentucky came by my school to watch me in practice and after that my coach let me know I have an offer. I plan on getting up there to campus for a visit. I know they have a running back now, Benny Snell, he's great. They build their running backs up to play a power-type game and that's my style of play."

Others: "A lot of schools are showing me interest like North Carolina, Florida, they've been showing a lot of interest and I'm just waiting to see what they do. I visited Florida and camped there and I think I did well. I have Florida State coming up and the Paradise Camp in Miami."
