Tennessee DT emerges

Legitimate Division I-A football prospects continue to pop up all over the state of Tennessee. The latest is defensive tackle Kendall Dangerfield of Giles County High in Pulaski. The 6-foot-2, 270-pounder is getting plenty of attention from college programs and was solid at Saturday's NIKE Camp in Athens, Ga.
"I'm getting lots of letters from Tennessee, Louisville, Ole Miss, Auburn, Middle Tennessee State and Vanderbilt," Dangerfield said.

Two schools that have been in touch with Dangerfield currently are standing out the most.
"I like Louisville and Auburn," he said. "I like their coaching staffs. Auburn's coaching staff is hard.
Giles County posted an 11-2 record last season.
"I did pretty good," he said.
Dangerfield talked about his strengths and weaknesses as a player.
"Some of my weaknesses are using my hands more on the defensive line and some of my strengths are reading the blocks along the offensive line," he said.
Last Saturday, Dangerfield competed at the Athens NIKE Camp on the campus of the University of Georgia.
"It went pretty good," he said. "I had a lot of competition. There were a lot of good players out there."
