The 6-foot-4, 207-pounder had a good showing at the West Lafayette, Ind., NIKE Camp in early May and has been getting increased contact from various programs ever since.
"Things have been going good," Ukwu said. "Memphis, Louisville, Marshall and Georgia Tech have talked about offering me."
The Tigers have shown a strong interest.
"Memphis is in love with me," he said. "I went to their camp and gave them my highlight tape. They are the only people I have given a tape to so far."
Ukwu added that he plans on sending his tape to several other schools throughout the Southeast, including some from the Southeastern Conference.
Ukwu had 87 tackles and nine sacks during his junior season and currently is a two-star rated prospect by Rivals.com.
