Tennessee DE enjoyed UNC upset of Canes

Chattanooga (Tenn.) McCallie defensive end Ayanga Okpokowuruk has been one of the fastest rising prospects in the Volunteer State this fall. He took his first official visit this weekend and witnessed one of the nation’s biggest upsets.
“I took my visit to North Carolina this weekend,” Okpokowuruk said. “The trip went really well and I picked the best weekend to go since they beat Miami. The atmosphere there was crazy.

I met a lot of the academics people and that was really cool. I already know a lot of people that go to school there so I fit in real well and was really comfortable. They have this Halloween festival up there every year where they shut down the streets and like 70,000 people show up and I went to that and it was really cool.”
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound Okpokowuruk runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds, has a 320-pound bench press and a 34-inch vertical jump.
“I would say that nothing has really changed with my list,” Okpokowuruk said. “I want to take all of my official visits before I name a favorite. I have set up an official visit with Georgia Tech for December 10 and Tennessee will probably get my last visit.”
