Tennell affected by Wyatts departure

One of the top committed prospects on the Oklahoma board for the 2006 class was four-star wide receiver Adron Tennell. Since his recruiting coach Darrell Wyatt was reported today that he accepted a job with the Minnesota Vikings, many wondered if the four-star Tennell would look around.
According to Irving coach Jim Bennett, it does look like the 6-foot-5, 200-pounder is going anywhere.

"I actually saw him last night and he didn't mention anything to me, but I think it just happened so he may not know yet," Bennett said. "To be honest, it won't make a difference. He committed there and that's where he's going to go."
Tennell, a Rivals100 member and the No. 4 rated receiver in the country committed to the Sooners over several other offers and was still being recruited by many schools even after his pledge to OU.
Today he's as solid as ever. Coach Bennett said he had a feeling this might happen.
"I heard that there was a chance of him leaving," Bennett said about Wyatt. "I just don't think it will have an effect though on losing Tennell."
Tennell is rated as the No. 7 overall prospect in the state of Texas.
