Telfort down to two schools

Frankie Telfort is one of the top defensive prospects from the state of Florida and he's now done to two schools. The finalists were Florida, Southern Cal, Stanford, LSU and Duke. Now this Miami (Fla.) Gulliver Prep star has to decide between two powers.
"I have narrowed it down to Florida and Southern Cal," Telfort said. "I went on an official visit to USC recently. It was a good visit. USC kind of reminds me of home, Miami. I mean it's different but it's still a little like Miami. Everyone is so friendly up there. All the players love USC and it's just a great atmosphere.

"Florida has been recruiting me hard since the 10th grade. I have been there countless times. I love the coaches and players and think I fit in real well. I know them so well I don't need to take an official visit to Gainesville."
Telfort is in the middle of the playoffs. They beat North Broward Prep in round one and avenged a regular season loss to Miami Arch Bishop Carroll in round two last week.
"It was a sweet game and we got some revenge. I had about 15 tackles and a few big hits. I really got Rodney (Smith) on a reverse they tried to run to him. We are playing well as a team and hitting our stride now."
This week they face Tampa (Fla.) Catholic. After that, it's anyone's guess as to when Telfort will make his decision between the Gators and Trojans.
"I want to make my decision on ESPN, either at a press conference or at the Under Armour game. It just depends on when I decide between the two.
Stanford had an in-home visit with Stanford on Sunday. USC is coming in next Tuesday.
