Telemaque enjoys first official visit

Long Beach Poly (Calif.) defensive back Vaughn Telemaque took his first official visit this past weekend to check out North Carolina and loved the visit.
Telemaque, 6-2, 180 pounds is one of the elite safety prospects in the West region. He's a big, physical kid with good ball skills and is always around the football. He has prototype size for the college level and has as much upside as just about any safety in the region.

"I had a great trip and really liked it there," Telemaque said. "The game was awesome. That's a young team and they're going to be good. They had a lot of confidence going in to the game, they really believed they were going to win that game.
"The coaches were great and so was the fan support. The fans were really in to it and I liked how supportive they were the whole game. The food was amazing the whole trip, that was another highlight for me and just being around the guys.
"The hotel we stayed in was so nice and I loved the city itself. It seems like everything there has a Carolina blue theme to it, even the sky and the weather there. The facilities were great and not only benefit the football team but the basketball and baseball teams as well.
"The distance from home will not a play a role at all for me in terms of making my decision. The only way distance would play a role would be if my parents couldn't come out and visit me and they totally would be able to so that's a non issue.
"My next visit will be to Michigan this coming weekend and that should be a lot of fun. They're playing Purdue so it should be a good game. I don't have any other visits lined up right now. I'm not ready to name a leader but I do think a lot about that SC offer I picked up a few weeks ago and it's always in the back of my head if I should jump on it or not but I want to take more visits so we'll see how it goes."
