Tee Denson: "Pitt is where I want to be"

After taking his official visit to Pittsburgh over the weekend, Tee Denson felt the need to put his name on the Panther's commitment list. It happened a little faster than expected for the defensive back out of Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove, but that visit made him feel at home.

Pittsburgh offered in March and have been in strong pursuit since.

Denson was eyeing Michigan State too, but in the end the Panthers beat the Spartans.

"I was planning on committing before the season, but after the visit, I saw Pittsburgh had everything I was looking for," said Denson. "It felt like home with the players, the coaches and even the fans were showing me love when I was out. The fans really support the team and it is not always like that."

Denson hit it off with the coaches and he caused a drama in the coach's office Sunday morning.

"It was nothing from love from the coaches and coach Narduzzi has a great attitude and energy. Coach Collins is great and he thinks I will be a great addition to the defense. I really liked the coaches up there.

"I met with coach Narduzzi Sunday morning and that is when I committed to him. He was not rushing me and he was telling me I am on top of the board, but I felt ready. I told him there is no reason to wait and he jumped up and started screaming. One of the Graduate Assistants came running in there because he thought something was wrong. It was a great moment."

The decision came a little earlier than expected for Denson, but his commitment sounds as firm as it can.

"I am 100% committed and I am done," said Denson. "I am not looking around at all and I do not plan to take any other visits.

"There is a lot going on there. They are getting new dorms, new uniforms are coming and a lot is moving there. Pitt is where I want to be."
