Tech Gets Commitment

Virginia Tech got more good news this weekend as another player has committed to the Hokies.
"I committed to Virginia Tech," said 5-foot-9, 175-pound athlete Demetrius Hodges from Wellington (Fla.) Cardinal Newman. "I really had a great time there and it felt like the place to be. It's a big-time football program with a great defense and I can't wait to be a part of it."

Hodges can play either cornerback or wide receiver for Tech and has also played quarterback for his high school team.
"We ran alot of different offenses, from option to pro," he said. "I just want to play college ball so it doesn't matter where I play."
Hodges has offers from Georgia, Purdue, Wisconsin and many others but alot of them haven't called lately.
"I'm not sure why, but that's okay," he said. "I'll show them what they missed in college."
Hodges had 18 career interceptions, a school record.
