Tech commit, a de-commit
Stephenville, Texas, defensive lineman John Harrell was one of Texas Tech's first commitments for the Class of 2003. Is he about to become one of Tech's first de-commitments?
"I'm not really sure what I'm going to do," Harrell said. "My coaches are now at Houston. Coach Briles is the new head coach and the defensive tackle coach from Tech is now the defensive coordinator there."

And that was enough to Harrell, a three-star prospect, to set up a visit to Houston for January 10 and now become a soft Red Raider commitment.
So has he told the Tech staff yet?
"Not yet," he said. "I guess they'll find out now, huh?"
Harrell said a few of his teammates are considering taking a visit to Houston. This might include Oklahoma State quarterback commitment Kevin Kolb.
