Katy (Texas) Cinco Ranch three-star athlete Queito Teasley is committed to two things – his football team and the Baylor Bears. It’s going to be interesting to see how strong one of those commitments remain as his senior season progresses.
There is little doubting Teasley’s commitment on the field. He’s helped Cinco Ranch to a 4-0 record and a state ranking. He’s scored eight touchdowns at running back and is also making an impact every once in a while on defense.
“I’ve been playing really well,” he said. “I think I’m better at reading defenses and making good cuts. I’m also 10 times stronger, and I’m able to break a lot of tackles.”
There are about 10 teams calling and trying to get him to break his commitment to Baylor, but at this point that commitment remains solid.
“USC, Tulane, Tulsa, Iowa State, Auburn, Purdue, Arkansas and some others, those are the ones that have been calling me,” Teasley, who is 6-foot and 174 pounds, said. “Iowa State called me about 20 minutes ago. I’m not really sure if I’m going to take other visits or not. I’m just really focused on the season.”
And with something special going on the field, who could blame him.
“Only time will tell,” he said. “I’m still talking to Baylor as much as I can, and they’re really excited about me coming up there and being able to play early for them. I’m just not really too focused on this other stuff at this point. I’m more focused on helping our team win, and we’ve been playing really together as a team this year.”
