Teams looking at Miami junior QB

It's no secret that the Class of 2008 at Northwestern High School in Miami is loaded with high-end prospects. One of those is the school's quarterback, Jacory Harris, who is getting plenty of early attention.
Harris is a 6-foot-3, 190-pounder with a big arm and above average athleticism. He has a trio of programs that could currently be considered early favorites.

"Right now my top choices are USC, Miami (Fla.) and Rutgers," Harris said. "USC came by last week, Central Florida has been by, Ole Miss, Florida, Georgia and Minnesota also have stopped by the school."
Harris holds early verbal scholarship offers from Pittsburgh, Duke and Ohio University.
In leading his high school team to the Class 6A title, Harris threw for 3,542 yards and 35 touchdowns. He also rushed for 220 yards on 12 carries, averaging 18.3 yards per carry.
"One of my biggest strengths is my intelligence on the field," Harris said. "I can tell what plays go best with what defense. After that, it's most likely my running ability and then after that, my accuracy."
Harris was an all-state selection by the Florida Sportswriters Association and is ranked among the top 100 juniors in the state by FlaVarsity.com.
