Teams getting sweet on Cherry

Live Oak (Fla.) Suwannee wide receiver Patrick Cherry seems to be going the opposite direction from most recruits. Most prospects are narrowing things down significantly at this point, but due to the spark in interest from colleges Cherry is going the opposite direction.
"I did not make my Troy visit this weekend," Cherry said. "I rescheduled and took an official visit to Bethune-Cookman this weekend. I am still planning on taking my official visit to North Carolina this weekend."

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Cherry was a consensus Class 3A all-state selection in Florida in 2003. He had 51 receptions for 820 yards and six touchdowns for Suwannee and helped his team make a strong march into the state playoffs.
"I have offers from Iowa State, Troy, Bethune-Cookman and Florida A&M," Cherry said. "I would still probably say that Iowa State is my leader, but North Carolina or South Florida could sneak in there with an offer."
"South Florida wants me to take an official visit there, but I haven't talked to them in about a week so I'm not sure if I'm going to visit them or not. I will probably schedule that visit for January 28 if I end up going. I still may take a visit to Troy State and Florida A&M too, but I'm just not sure."
As a senior, Cherry caught over 50 passes again but for just over 600 yards, due to a more conservative passing attack from his team.
