Thomas Toki recently moved to Northern California but the four-star defensive tackle said his commitment to Washington State still stands.
The 6-foot, 307-pound standout who now plays at Mountain View (Calif.) St. Francis has made it no secret he will consider other programs, and it sounds like Washington is making a major push to gain ground in his recruitment.
"The move is not affecting anything at all," Toki said. "Right now I'm still committed to Wazzu, so we'll see how everything plays out.
"I've been hearing a lot from UW. They've been talking to me a lot and they plan on coming to visit me soon. I was supposed to go to their junior day (Saturday), but I couldn't because I moved down here. They said I was their key prospect that was going to be at their junior day."
Toki, who looked good at the Under Armour combine in St. Petersburg, Fla., in recent weeks, has been committed to Washington State since Christmas Eve.
Arizona State, Colorado, Oregon State, UCLA, Utah and Vanderbilt are some other programs involved in his recruitment.
Toki said he's going to look at every program interested in him but he has shown special attention to UCLA in recent months. The Bruins have been quiet recently, but the Northern California recruit said he's going to pay attention to all programs recruiting him.
"I'm still looking around to see what benefits me the most," Toki said. "Wazzu right now is a pretty good program, but there are other big programs that catch my attention. Right now I'm still committed to Wazzu, but we'll see how that plays out.
"If (more offers) start to come in I'd start to think things over. UCLA would be a great school to play for and we'll see how they come in."
