Teague rates visit a nine

Saint Petersburg (Fla.) Catholic safety/outside linebacker Carl Teague is a new name that has emerged on the recruiting scene and this weekend he took his first official visit to an up and coming Big East school.
“I took my official visit to Connecticut this weekend,” Teague said. “I would probably rate the trip up there a nine this weekend. I still want to take all of my visits and be patient, but UConn is definitely up there right now.”

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound Teague runs the 40-yard dash in 4.55 seconds, has a 240-pound bench press and 435-pound squat.
“The coaches and players both up there showed a lot of love,” Teague said. “I really liked talking with coach Orlando, who would be my linebackers coach if I went there, and coach Edsell and coach McMichael.”
Teague has the mixture of size and speed that will allow him to play several positions on the college level, however, most college coaches like his future as an outside linebacker.
