TE Williams taking it slow

Despite being a Florida State legacy Garrett Williams is taking things slow and won't rush to commit ahead of schedule.
This summer Williams took unofficial visits to Auburn, Florida, and Florida State. The Tigers were the latest to offer and he racked up additional offers from the Gators and Louisville.

He holds sixteen early offers and the list continues to grow. His versatility at tight end or defensive end has attracted some big-time programs in addition to his strong bloodlines.
Which does he prefer in college?
"It doesn't matter. When I narrow it down I'm going to look at the schools that utilize the tight end and certain schemes," stated Williams. "I'm comfortable at the tight end position."
Speaking of comfort, Williams said there are a few coaching staff's that he feels a good bond with at this stage.
He said, "I have an awesome relationship with the coaches at Clemson and FSU. I also have a real good relationship with the tight end coach at Tennessee and at Florida. I would say I have decent relationships with the coaches at Auburn and Alabama."
Williams plans to check out Death Valley for the season opener between Clemson-Georgia and he will take trips to FSU and Tennessee as well.
As a junior he recorded 76 tackles and 10 sacks from his end position helping his team to a 13-1 record and Class 3A semi-final appearance.
