TE Taylor pulls first offer

Offer No. 1 came in recently for tight end Monte Taylor out of Springdale (Md.) Flowers. Who pulled the trigger on the 6-foot-4, 240-pounder?
"Recruiting is going pretty good, I was at North Carolina's camp on Friday, Wake Forest on Saturday and East Carolina on Sunday for camp," he said. "I did pretty well at North Carolina. They said I've got to keep my grades up and they'll offer.

"Western Michigan was there and they gave me an offer. East Carolina said I did pretty well and they were glad I came down. He said he'd get back with me later."
Taylor broke down the offer from Western Michigan.
"I was excited," he said. "They told me they run the spread offense, but I'm about to start my research on them in a bit."
Though Taylor confirmed more visits are coming, he isn't sure where he'll be headed next.
Does the tight end like anyone?
"I went to Pittsburgh's camp and I like Pittsburgh," he said. "I also like Rutgers, North Carolina, Temple and Florida State.
"I just like the type of offenses they run and they are winning programs. They all have nice facilities and winning teams too."
