Sanders talked about his impressions from the University of Illinois junior day event.
"Just getting a chance to be in the crowd for the Fighting Illini basketball game was incredible. It was truly an exciting day at Illinois. It was my first junior day event, but I came away with a really good impression of the Illini and the coaches at Illinois. I really got along with the coaches at Illinois really well, they are definitely a good group of coaches, and they made everyone feel very welcomed. The whole day was very personable and well organized. The size of the school and the campus was amazing to me, plus I also got the feeling that Illinois really takes care of it's players."
Sanders, who is also playing basketball this winter for the Cyclones, has continued to see plenty of mail and recruiting interest this winter.
"I've been getting steady mail from Illinois, Indiana, Notre Dame, Iowa, Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin and a few other schools. I'm also planning to attend a junior day event at Indiana on March 3rd."
