TE Phillips is still deciding

Three-star tight end Rashad Phillips out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Landstown took his final official visit two weeks ago to North Carolina State. Since then, the 6-foot-4, 210-pounder has been down to Syracuse and the Wolfpack for a decision. Is Phillips any closer?
"I still haven't made a decision yet," he said. "I think it could be on Signing Day now or a few days earlier, it's just hard to tell. I'm still trying to determine which school I like more."

What does the No. 53 tight end in the country think about both programs?
"Of course, North Carolina State is in a good conference in the ACC and they went to a bowl game last year," he said. "They have proven they can win some games and I like that it is warm there and still close to home. The people outside the sports program seem really great and then the facilities are excellent.
"Syracuse is a good program too and very good school. They don't have quite as many students there, but the coaching staff is great with coach Robinson and White. The only thing that might be bringing Syracuse down is they haven't been winning recently, but I think they can quickly build back to what they used to be."
Phillips has a life changing decision ahead of him.
"It's really hard because both schools have their good qualities about them," he said. "I can't wait to get it over with."
