TE offers schools options

Sugar Land (Texas) Austin tight end Trevor Stuart was his district's offensive sophomore of the year in 2003. He followed that up by being named first-team all-district and all-area as a junior in 2004. Now, he will work to show college coaches his 2005 season is worth a scholarship offer.
"Trevor is getting a lot of mail right now," Austin coach Tom Stuart said. "He is getting stuff from all the Texas schools. Wisconsin, Arkansas, Missouri, Colorado, Nebraska, Arizona State and Tulane are all sending him stuff, too."

Stuart plays both tight end and long snapper for Austin and should help market himself in 2005 with the two positions.
"Trevor does play both tight end and is a long snapper. Snapping the ball isn't the easiest and he has gotten pretty good at it. Schools would probably be adding someone they could use right away with him as a snapper."
The 6-foot-3, 235-pounder has not received any scholarship offers, yet.
"Nobody has offered Trevor," Stuart said. "He is a smart young man and he's very coachable. In the last year, he has come a long way with his blocking techniques. His hands have also gotten very good and he catches the ball well."
As a junior, he hauled in 18 passes for nearly 300 yards.
