TE Not Worried About Recruiting

Shamar Allen, a 6-foot-3, 218-pound tight end from Asheville (N.C.) A.C. Reynolds, hasn’t been too busy this summer. He has only been to one camp, and plans on taking it easy for the rest of the summer.
"I have been to the Clemson prospect camp, and that was the only camp that I will be attending."

Allen is still trying to figure out which schools he wants to visit this fall, and may not be close to deciding.
"I'm really not sure where I would like to take my official visits. I really just haven't sat down and thought about it."
Not taking any unofficial visits and only going to one summer camp hasn't helped his stock, but the amount of attention he’s receiving shows it certainly hasn't hurt it.
"Clemson, North Carolina, and North Carolina State are showing a lot of interest in me; so I would have to say that they are my top three. Virginia was recruiting me, but they aren't recruiting me anymore."
To this date none of the four schools have offered.
Allen is a project in the making and some schools would be more than happy to have him. He has good speed for a tight end and teams are taking notice of it. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.
Last year Allen didn't record any catches but he did manage to rack up a few awards. He was named All-Conference, and All-Western North Carolina.
With little information about the colleges interested in him, Allen has decided he wants to take his official visits and then decide.
"I will decide sometime my senior year, when I feel I have found the college that best suits me."
