TE Nearing Decision

Two schools continue to lead the way for one of the top players in New Jersey. Sam Johnson from Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic still has Rutgers and Syracuse as his clear leaders and lists Boston College as a third option. The talented 6-foot-4, 235-pound tight end would like to take his visits early and then make a decision.
“Rutgers and Syracuse are still 50-50 at this time. They have been my leaders for a while and nothing has changed. I do like a few others, BC is a third option and they are recruiting me as an H-back which is basically a fullback, it’s just another option.”

Last season Sam caught 15 passes for 200 yards and scored two touchdowns. He plays for one of the top programs in the Garden State and it is a hot spot for recruiters coming east.
“We usually have one to three players go Division-One every year. I’m looking forward to having a great senior season.”
Sam had thought about making a decision before the new season began, but those plans have changed a bit. A decision will come early, but it looks like sometime in October.
“I really would like to make my decision, but I just need to be positive about my choice before anything.”
